Head of Marketing, Zee Network UK

Zee is looking for a Head of Marketing - UK for its network of TV channels / digital media. This is a great opportunity to join an internationally renowned broadcaster and be a part of the core team.

Reporting to the CEO / Deputy CEO, the head of Marketing will be responsible for all marketing functions for the current and new channels.

This position requires business knowledge, leadership ability and a technical understanding of how a Indian pay / fta TV channel operates and design a marketing programme to increase visibility of the channel and grow the overall viewership.

Our preferred candidate must currently be or have been at Senior Executive career level, and have a minimum 2-3 years’ experience at such level.

Job description:
Development and implementation of the Brand strategy. Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the new channel with an objective of reaching a significant share of the Ethnic viewing audience. Oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy (including campaigns, events, digital marketing and PR). Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns. Utilising a range of techniques including paid search, SEO and PPC. Managing online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness. Developing relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage both online and offline. Elaboration of the regional media plans (print, OOH and digital) and brief local media buying agencies for final bookings. Daily management of budget updates for both agencies and regions. Analysing target audiences, keeping abreast of media developments and market trends. Create innovative media ideas. Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends. Continuously updating knowledge of the latest industry trends, developments and opportunities within the TV/Broadcast sector. Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition. Oversee web presence and devise strategy to drive online traffic to the company website. Working closely with the Sales agency/team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations. Work closely with programming team to define marketing programs. Work with research data to measure the performance of the channel; the marketing activities and fine tune the strategy in line with the objectives. Involvement with every stage of the planning process is essential.
The skills, qualifications and experience needed:
Master degree or postgraduate certificate/diploma in relevant discipline. 10+ years’ relevant experience with minimum 2-3 years’ experience at Senior Executive career level. Previous experience as a media / brand planner or be involved in marketing of a TV channel in UK / India. A passion for media ideas and concepts. An ability to run campaigns and projects. Management Experience essential. Digital Tech Mindset.
